Day 1: Arrival – Bangkok Baby!
Let us pick you up from the airport and give you a great big welcome as we whisk you off to the heart of it all.
Day 2: The Ultimate BKK Tour
You’ll receive an in depth orientation on this unforgettable tour before beginning with a trip through Bangkok City. In the evening we experience the infamous ‘Khao San’ road and enjoy a traditional Thai welcome dinner.
Day 3: Transfer to Surin
The transfer from Bangkok will be by coach OR train. Bed & breakfast accommodation in a lovely city centre hotel with FREE WiFI and the best cappuccinos in Surin!
Days 4-7: Elephant Project
Transfer out of Surin city and into elephant country ready to begin volunteering. Begin your adventure with these incredible animals- learn to care for, feed, wash and even swim with them. They are sure to become your new best friends. Join in with various small community based projects; a truly incredible experience and one that really gives back.
Day 8: Goodbye Elephants
Finish off your community work, give your elephant a final hug goodbye as after lunch we’ll return to the civilization of Surin city and the comfort of a western-style hotel room.
Day 9: Off to Cambodia we go!
Today it’s time to pack the back-pack & head to ANOTHER COUNTRY! The Kingdom of Wonder, Cambodia! Let us guide you through the exhilarating border crossing into the land of Angkor.
Day 10: Angkor Wat
A half day tour at the Angkor Wat site. Head back over 1,000 years and explore these incredible marvels of human endeavour. This is a truly inspiring site that must be seen to be believed. Meals: Breakfast
Day 11: Cambodia Volunteer Project Briefing
Now that you have been amazed by one of the beautiful historical sites Cambodia has to offer, it’s time to check out where you will be all week. At the site, you will receive a briefing in the morning about the background of the project and what you will be needed for, then it’ll be time to get down to business. After a day’s work it’s back to town and time to chill.
Days 12-14: Cambodia Volunteer Project
Cambodia is still classed as a third world country and once you get underneath the surface of Siem Reap you’ll understand why. Poverty reigns here so be prepared for an eye-opening experience.
As your work progresses you’ll begin to understand much more about why we do what we do and how your time is helping. Volun-tourism has an incredible impact on those it touches if it’s handled professionally and respectfully.
Say your goodbyes to those who will have change you forever. Make sure you take all of those last minute group photos from an unforgettable experience.
